- Pack a Bag of Activities: In addition to your regular travel necessities, pack a bag of things to do on the drive. Have kids bring backpacks full of games, coloring books, Mad-Libs, and extra portable chargers for iPads and phones.
- Over Pack the Snacks: Bring plenty of food to snack on for when people get hungry. Pack plenty of healthy options like apples, bananas, carrots, and hummus or raisins in addition to granola bars, chips, and cookies. Keep snacks in a cooler with some juice or soda. Then be sure to make the cooler easy to reach so you don’t have to pull over every time someone needs a snack.
- Plan Out Your Route: Be sure to research your driving route for fun places to visit along the way and make sure everyone has their own phone or camera to snap pictures with.
