Summertime means it’s time to saddle up and get ready for your kids’ sport leagues. Whether your child plays soccer, baseball, or football, we at GiftWorksPlus have the perfect picture frames to help you and your kids remember all the fun times. In addition to family frames and holiday frames, we have sports frames that make the perfect gift for your child, the coach, or the whole team! These photo frames are also customizable, so you can add fun mementos like the year and team name! While these summer leagues are always an exciting activity for the kids, parents have a lot of responsibility when it comes to preparing for away games and tournaments. So, we came up with some great tips to help you get ready for game day travel:
  • Pack your fold up chair! Not all soccer or football fields or even baseball diamonds have bleachers to sit on, so be sure to remember your fold up chair, so you can sit back and enjoy the game.
  • Bring extra drinks and snacks in a cooler. Whether you’re sitting through multiple games or an extra-long car ride, you’re going to appreciate having extra food and beverages. Be sure to keep your child’s water bottle in there as well, so it stays cool until game time.
  • Sunscreen! Don’t forget to bring a couple bottles of sunscreen with a high SPF to avoid sunburns. Look for sweat-proof and water-proof brands and don’t forget to apply 30 minutes prior to sun exposure and to also reapply throughout the day!
  • Bug spray! You also don’t want to forget bug spray if you are outdoors all day. Especially if you’re near a wooded area—mosquitos can be vicious!
  • Plan for all weather. Bring extra sweatshirts as it can get chilly at night and don’t forget umbrellas and raincoats in case of stormy weather.
  • Plan for injuries. While most teams bring their own first-aid kit, it never hurts to bring your own, just in case. Things can get rough out there in contact sports, so bring a small bag with bandages, ice packs, and hydrogen peroxide.
And don’t forget your camera to capture all the best moments of the game. Afterward, be sure to visit our website for personalized frames that are perfect for framing your photos and also help you remember your star athlete’s moments of glory.
