- Be smart about drinking. If you’re over 21 and plan to enjoy a local cocktail, always make sure you have a designated driver or a plan to get back to your hotel. Drink plenty of water so a hangover doesn’t keep you from enjoying morning activities.
- Protect yourself from the sun! It can be so exciting to escape the cold weather that all you want to do is lay on the beach and forget wind-chills ever existed. While you enjoy the sun, be sure you put on sunglasses and buy some sunblock with a high SPF – and don’t forget to reapply throughout the day!
- Do your research. Beyond the obvious planning for local weather and sightseeing, read up on your destination and reviews from spring breakers before you. The only surprises you want to encounter are how great the memories are that you make with your friends!
