- 1.) Make good memories outdoors by protecting yourself from the sun. However, oily substances like sunscreen and insect repellent are very harmful for your digital camera. You can protect your camera by washing your hands or any other body part before coming in contact with your camera. If oils do get on your camera, quickly wipe them off as best you can.
- 2.) There is nothing fun about sand getting into your parts, and cameras feel the same way! Sand is very abrasive and can easily scratch and damage your digital camera. Do your best to keep your camera away from sand. However, if you will be around a beach, protect your camera by keeping it in a sealable bag until you are ready to use it.
- 3.) There is nothing worse than taking great pictures, downloading them, and seeing a huge grey spot right over your face. Those spots are dreadful dust specks that have wiggled their way into the inside of your lens. To avoid this, clean your camera daily.
