It’s hard to believe that it’s already August, and school will be starting up again soon! We may not know "exactly" what the new school year will look like, as many students and teachers are still waiting to hear whether or not their district will choose in-person learning, virtual, or a hybrid of the two. Either way, we all know one thing for sure. This year it's even more essential to stay focused and organized with our kid's learning. 1.) Calendars, Planners, and Notepads! This may be one of the more obvious tips but never underestimate the power of a good daily planner! Large magnetic white board calendars are great to put on the fridge and keep track of events for the whole family, just give each family member a designated marker color. Individual planners are great, too, for each family member to coordinate his/her own schedule, and notepads and sticky notes are always great to have on hand to take notes throughout the day. 2.) Workspace organizers! When you're working or studying from home, nothing is more distracting than a messy workspace. If you’re low on space, pick up small desktop organizers to ensure that all your pens, paperclips, and sticky notes have a proper place. Create more space with a small shelf that sits on your desk, and keep all your papers and assignments safe with a multi-layer paper tray. 3.) Think Minimalist! Each week, go through your office, desk, car, locker, etc. and toss anything that is no longer needed. We’ve all been in the position where we're looking for a paper that is due today, but all you can find is assignments from last month. Just remember: the less clutter, the better!
